
WHAT IS SOUND MEDITATION?
In today’s busy world, many people find it can be difficult to calm the mind and slow down mental chatter. Meditating with the sound of singing bowls is one of the most accessible and enjoyable forms of meditation particularly for those with no previous experience. These classes are also suitable for experienced meditators as working with sound can deepen their experience. In this class we begin with a body scan and relaxation followed by a short guided heart centred mediation. This leads into the sound work where you simply follow the beautiful resonant, ringing, sounds of the singing bowls. While keeping your awareness and attention on following the sounds, the mental chatter gradually begins to subside, without any effort, leading to an experience of deep relaxation, stillness and peace
